One Day At A Time: Season 2

Hey everyone! As I continue to watch One Day At A Time, I seem to be falling in love with it even more if that is even possible!

As a continuation of my views on Season 1, I present to you my views on season two of One Day At A Time!

Oh my God, I am completely loving this show. It is just so funny and light and enjoyable. I can keep watching it for days!

First off, let me just say that I love the diversity in this TV Show. There are Latinos and White people and gay people and just everything, okay?

Next off, I LOVE the Drama in this show. It is so on point and well, it is dramatic but not too dramatic.

I love that this show addresses important issues and also how it turns it into hilarious jokes but also retains some amount of seriousness and gets it through to the audience. It is more than just a comedy – it has a deeper meaning and more lasting impact on a person.

As I said in my review of Season 1, the family dynamic in this is amazing. The family may fight but in the end, they accept each other and are there for each other. They support each other in the major things that matter.

So, Elena gets a girlfriend! YAY. They are so cute and nerdy and just perfect for each other. I mean, their start was a little rocky but by the end of the season, they just fit together like two puzzle pieces! Okay, this is getting too cheesy. I should stop.

Elena also resolves her issues with her Papi (Dad) and I am glad that he finally comes around.

I also love the flashbacks to the time when Elena was born. They were so cute and it also made me think a little bit more about Victor, Elena’s dad and all that he went through. It made me see a softer side of him.

Oh, and the last episode. I have so much to say about it, but there are spoilers so…

Season 2, Episode 13

Abuelita’s death scare was so scary. Oh my god.

The entire episode was so emotional and I just couldn’t keep myself from crying. How the entire family expresses their love for her one by one brought tears to my eyes.

I especially loved Elena’s part and when she realises that she is just like her Abuelita – her face is a sight to see!

I also love Berto and Lydia’s cute dance scene. It touched my heart.

Overall, I am glad that Lydia did not die. Without her, the show would be incomplete and just not as much fun!

And that is it for today!

So, that’s it for today. Have you watched One Day At A time? What are your thoughts about it? Did you like it? Tell me in the comments below.

  1. I’ve watched the first 3 episodes of One Day at a Time and each one has made me laugh and tear up! The part when the granny showed Elena no makeup, so much tearing up. I’m definitely going to continue the series! I’m glad you loved season 2.
