Monthly Wrap-Up

January Wrap Up

Can you believe that we already a month into 2021? I, for one, cannot. This month has been great as well as a complete mess as I had an amazing two weeks reading and relaxing before college started and then two weeks of utter chaos as I continued to read more than I thought I could ever would. So, all in all, I spent my time reading and ignoring all the college stuff I needed to do leading me into a huge pile of mess to sort through.

Let’s not talk about how much I can screw things up for me, and instead talk about all the good things that happened this month!

As you have seen, I read a lot in January. It was basically all I did for quite a little while since I had free time and had just gotten out of a reading slump which made me very excited to read again!

I also watched Haikyuu!! in January after being told to repeatedly do so on twitter and wow am I glad I did that! It was an amazing show which made me excited volleyball even though I don’t even like sports! Shoya Hinata is so full of love and energy which somehow made me continue watching and absolutely fall in love with the show. The character development was also on point and omg I can not wait for Season 5 but I am going to go and read the manga in the meantime because I need to know what happens next!

I want to concentrate on studying in February since college is back on and I want to do well and not lag behind. I also want to be more consistent with blogging than I was in January but I also want to reduce the amount of times I blog a month since I want to write better, longer posts which are better formatted and edited instead of trying to put out two posts a week which are not very good.

I also want to try and interact more with the blogging community and journal more consistently! I am also doing well with my bookstagram and want to continue being consistent with it and posting there is also been a lot of fun and I’ve been making friends and I really love that!

  1. That’s such a great wrap up! You definitely achieved a lot in Jan!☺️

I read 7 books in Jan and there was some heavy lifting reading that I did. My favourite read of Jan was Elatsoe by Darcie Little Badger ☺️

I intend to fill Feb with only fantasy or romantic fantasies with maybe one non fiction lol

  2. Wow, what a good reading month it was for you !! No DNF and everything 3stars & up is amazing! You did quite a nice cut in your goals too!
On my side, everything was good.. but I was kinda dissapointed within the french books i’ve picked up lately :/ they’re fine.. but kinda meh too. I wanna keep trying to read in my own language.. but i’m sad that the Quebec ones that I picked don’t seem to hold the “greatness” they ever were for me. (that said- iguess translation from english written ones can work too..)

It’s been a while that I wanna get into animes on my own again.. I just doesn’t XD I have no idea what to pick for one, and i’d like something as “deep” as my hero academia & Seven deadly sins had been for me (though I wouldnt be against less violence)

May february be as good as you want it to be, friend! xx
Ofcourse time for yourself is always more important — but studying is always a good idea, you indeed don’t wanna fall behind now! :p just a few more months to go!

    1. Yess! Although 3 stars isn’t that good of a rating for me? It means that nothing was wrong but I didn’t really enjoy the book.
Oh no, hope you’re able to find some good French books to read!
Ohh I’ll check those anime out! Have you watched Haiku yet? It’s soft and cute and fun!
Thank you! Hope February is good for you too!

      1. I infact havent yet— only seen thoses, cardcaptor sakura & soul eater thus far.

Yeeah, i see- but atleast it isn’t too too horrible or a read? For me it stands more like « meh- enjoyed within the moment but like.. that’s it. Wont pick up again » kinda thing

I’m happy to see you read and enjoyed These Violent Delights! It’s a 2020 favorite of mine for sure. Jade War, on the other hand, is one that I have heard SO much about, all glowing reviews. and I hope to check it out soon 🙂 ❤
