Mango Book Tag

Hello! Today I’m doing the Mango book tag – I was quite interested in it as soon as I saw it and I’ve been wanting to do it for a while now and since mango season is pretty much over, I thought I should finally just get to it!

RAW MANGO: YOUR MOST ANTICIPATED RELEASE

These Violent Delights by Chloe Gong. A Romeo and Juliet retelling which I’e heard a lot about is definitely a book I want to get to, and as soon as it releases!

BANGANAPALLI: LONGEST BOOK ON YOUR TBR

Queen of Air and Darkness by Cassandra Clare. A giant of 912 pages which I’m hoping to get to in this lifetime!

ALPHONSO: A HYPED BOOK YOU LOVE

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo. I completely understand the hype surrounding it since it’s a pretty perfect duology filled with adventure and a found family that I couldn’t help but fall in love with!

TOTAPURI: A BOOK WITH A GREEN OR YELLOW COVER

Jade City by Fonda Lee. I’ve had this book for a while and I’ve been looking to read it an this October I finally will as a part of the readalong Shealea is hosting!

NEELAM: A RAINY DAY BOOK RECOMMENDATION

Tweet Cute by Emma Lord. A cute rom com filled with witty banter and a twitter war is a good book to curl up with when it’s rainy and you’re just looking to have a sweet read.

MANGO PICKLE: A BOOK THAT MAKES YOU FEEL NOSTALGIC

Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan. These are the books I grew up with and looked forward to having the next book in the Heroes of Olympus series release and these just bring back so many happy memories!

MANGO KULFI: A FEEL-GOOD BOOK RECOMMENDATION

You Should See Me In A Crown by Leah Johnson. This book follows a queer black girl in a small town who’s now participating in a beauty pageant to get a scholarship and it just makes me feel so happy to read a book like this one!

And that’s it for today! Do you all enjoy mangoes? They are one of my favourite fruits though I didn’t really get any good ones this year.

Did you enjoy the tag? Do you agree with my answers? Let me know in the comments below!

  1. Because of this, I can’t wait to my copy of Six of Crows duology to come in the mail! AAAAH Also, wonderful book tag. It’s a nice way to know more titles. And oh! I kept on hearing Jade City is a good book. Might pick it soonest.

  2. I have only read Percy Jackson once. I was late to Rick Riordan train and didn’t read them until 2017. I loved the movie as a kid but books are clearly superior. I’m actually considering rereading them. I disagree about SOC. I wasn’t even able to finish the book and DNF’d it after 100 pages. I love Shadowhunter Chronicles but TDA was my least favorite series from all of them.
