Hey everyone, it’s April and that means that it is time for Bookending Spring, held by the amazing Clo and Sam. This year, I am a host, just like I was last year and today is my first hosting day out of 4.
PROMPT:
Choose any 5 flowers to be your guiding prompt, and according to that, take a picture of three books placed in a stack whose covers are the colour of the flowers, preferably the books being – one book that you loved, one book that you didn’t and one that you want to read soon.

Emergency Contact by Mary K Choi is an amazing book that was really emotional.
BOOK I DIDN’T LIKE
When We Collided by Emery Lord was a book I was very excited for but unfortunately, I didn’t like it as much. It somehow turned out to be boring and flat.
BOOK I WANT TO READ
Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman is a book I bought around a year ago and I’ve wanted to read it forever but I just have not been able to get to it yet.

BOOK I LOVED
Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins is an amazing book that I loved. The romance was so cute and I fell in love with it.
BOOK I DIDN’T LIKE
The Crown by Keira Cass was another book I was very excited for as I liked the series for the most part but I was dissappointed.

The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas is a book I have heard about for a very long time and I hope to get to it very soon!

An Abundance of Katherines by John Green was a book I was very excited for since I love John Green books but it just didn’t work for me.

Heartless by Marissa Meyers is a book I’m very excited for because I love Marissa Meyers and I hope to get to it soon.

Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo is one of the best books ever. I haven’t been able to read the sequels yet, but I really want to!
BOOK I DIDN’T LIKE
An Ember in The Ashes by Sabaa Tahir was a book I couldn’t enjoy much and I ended up giving up a 100 pages in but I want to get back to it someday.
BOOK I WANT TO READ
King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo is one I really want to read because I love Leigh Bardugo but, I still have to read the Grisha Trilogy before I can read this one.

BOOK I LOVED
A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas is one of my favourite books ever. Youneed to read it if you haven’t already read it!
BOOKs I WANT TO READ
Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi is a book I’m very excited for because I have heard a lot about it from around the bookish community!
Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur is a poetry book I have been wanting to read forever and I hope I can soon.

this is a fantastic prompt! I have no idea how I’m going to make it happen without any flowers in my area (my mom’s garden is literally just rocks LOL), but I am determined to do it 💪🏻
honestly I didn’t really like Eleanor Oliphant, but ik a lot of people did, so I’ll be curious to see what you think of it! THUG is absolutely as good as everyone says it is, imo, and Simon vs is too ofc. I’ve also been putting off King of Scars for way too long oops 😅
I think these would make lovely bookstagram photos! though my bookstagram game is nonexistent so I wouldn’t take advice from me, haha

Mine would probably end up just being “Books I loved” and “Books I wanna read” because well.. I don’t really own books that I didn’t loved anymore 🙊
I love the flowers you picked and your pictures are gorgeous 😍 Sadly, our nature is still kinda torn and “mreh” so we don’t have any colourful and pretty flowers like you do.. I’m really excited to have some dafodils around, as they’re my favorite!
I have yet to read Emergency contact, but I absolutely LOVED When we collided!
