ESMAE: A Book/Character which empowered you and made you feel strong
Emergency Contact by Mary H.K. Choi made me feel so strong because the characters are so realistic – they face anxiety like I do and they do not let it take over their lives. They get through it and enjoy their lives as much as they can!
ALEXIE AND BEAR: A Duology you recommend with all your heart
The Six of Crows duology by Leigh Bardugo is amazing and I love it! I am so glad I read it and if you haven’t read it yet, you should go and read it now!
MAX: A Book which made you feel seen
Leah on The Offbeat by Becky Albertalli. This is one of the only books (probably just the one, actually) I have read which have a fat, bisexual female protagonist and it just calls out to me, you know?
TITANIA: A Book/Character which was witty and made you laugh
I’d have to go with Red, White and Royal Blue for this one! It was charming and fascinating and the characters were all over hilarious!
AMBA: A Book you ended up loving even though you were not sure about it
Six of crows by Leigh bardugo! The books started off really slow and kind of boring for me but thankfully, it got better and through all the twists and turns it somehow changed my mind and became one of my very favourites!
KIRRIN: A Book you have mixed feelings
The Inkworld trilogy by Cornelia Funke. It has been pretty kind since I read them and I’m sure I liked the first book but I did abandon either the second or the third halfway through… I’m just not sure what I think of those books anymore but I hope to revisit them and make my decision!
KYRA: A Book/Character which turned out to be disappointing
The divergent trilogy. Divergent started off well but by the time we reach Allegiant, the books lose their charm and are not what I wanted them to be.
RADHA AND SYBILLA: A Book with great supporting characters/great team
I need to say a Throne of Glass for this one. I mean the entire cadre, Aedion, Lysandra, Manon, chaol, Nehemiah and need I go on?
