Top 5 characters that would be sorted into Slytherin

Hey everyone! I am back again with a Top 5 Tuesday post. Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme that the lovely Shanah @Bionic Bookworm does. If you are interested in doing any of her topics on your blog she welcomes it!

February is a themed month based on the Hogwarts Houses and today’s topic is Slytherin. In case you all don’t know, I have copied the traits from Shanah, so thank you. 🙂

They are ambitious, driven, goal focused, determined, prepared, perfectionists, adaptable, realistic, self reliant, charming, assertive, and ruthless. They are highly selective with their loyalty, love positive attention and thrive on praise, care about the impression they give, demand respect, and can be disloyal.

We can do anything with this broad topic so I have decided to list 5 characters from various books that I think will be sorted into Slytherin if they went to Hogwarts.

1. Aelin Ashryver Galathynius

Aelin, from Throne of Glass, is bold so she could be Gryffindor but she is also cunning, great at making plans and at doing anything to do what she thinks is right so well, she could easily be Slytherin. She is proud and definitely arrogant, there is nothing about her that does not scream Slytherin to me except how much she loves to read which gives her the trait of Ravenclaws. Oh, and before I forget to mention it, the colours of Terrasen are green and silver which are also the colours of Slytherin.

2. Winter

Winter, from Cinder by Marissa Meyers, may not be cunning or deceitful but she is determined and ambitious. She struggled with mental problems as she refuses to use her glamour but no matter what she has to go through she refuses to give up. She tries her best. She is also very charming – she can make anyone fall in love with her.

3. Nico DiAngelo

NIce, from Percy Jackson and the Olympians, can play both sides very well. I do not say this just because of his parentage- in the original series itself, he plays both sides to get what he wants and learn what he can. In the HOO series, he pretends very well that he does not know Percy. He knows how to achieve what he wants and how to get what he wants from the others. He is sly, cunning and ambitious. He will do anything to get what he wants.

4. Tamlin

Tamlin, from A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas, definitely belongs in Slytherin. He will do whatever it takes to get what he wants. He wanted Feyre and so, he was ready to betray everyone to the King of Hybern, their enemy just to get her back from Rhysand. Tamlin did not even take into consideration Feyre’s feelings but he did this because he wanted her for himself and he could not see it any other way.

5. Sebastian Verlac

Lastly, we have Sebastian Verlac from the Mortal Instruments. He pretended very well to be on the good side all the while hiding that he was actually Jonathan Morgenstern, Valentine’s son and a very evil person. He did what he had to do to achieve his motives and got what he needed to it the end. He didn’t care who got hurt in the way.

What characters do you think would be sorted into Slytherin?  Do you agree with the characters I sorted into Slytherin? Tell me in the comments below.

Peace out cuties ♥

    1. Yeah, I agree!
Oh my, you haven’t? You must read all of these NOW. The Lunar Chronicles is so amazing, and so is the Throne of Glass series. You can maybe avoid the Mortal Instruments but wait, what, you haven’t read A Court of Thorns and Roses? *gasp*

    1. Haha, yeah I get that.
Aelin or even Winter are not at al evil, in fact they are tw of the best characters and you should definitewly read the books the other characters belong to and get to know them! They are amazing.

  1. I can totally see Nico being a Slytherin. He’s definitely manipulative at times, and knows the ways to get what he wants. But I’d also sort Percy in Slytherin too! He has a lot of pride and would literally sacrifice the world for his friends. Even though his fatal flaw is loyalty, which could put him more as a Hufflepuff, the ending of House of Hades couldn’t let me think otherwise (when he manipulates Bob to save both him and Annabeth).
    Great post, Jayati! 😊
