The Versatile Blogger Award #2

Hey everyone! I was nominated by the lovely Isabelle @BookwyrmBites for the Versatile Blogger award! She has a really great blog and you should all go check it out. I would also like to thank her for nominating me! It means a lot that she thinks my blog is worthy of this.

  • If you are nominated, you’ve been awarded the Versatile Blogger Award, congrats!
  • Thank the person who gave you the award and include a link to their blog.
  • Select 15 blogs/bloggers that you’ve recently discovered or follow regularly and nominate those for the Versatile Blogger Award.
  • Finally, list 7 things about yourself.

1. I’m a perfectionist. I just can’t leave anything at 90%, if I do, I keep itching to go back and fix it. You’ll see it in how I keep changing up the graphics and trying out new things, trying to make everything better. I keep striving until everything is perfect according to me, which, trust me, is very hard and almost never happens.

2. I love putting purple-coloured nail polish on my nails. So, I have this purple nail polish which kind of looks like the galaxy and is totally amazing and well, I’m pretty obsessed with it. I put in on every single weekend IT’s crazy and well, I think it’s about to get over soon but I love it!

3. I have two blonde streaks in my hair. I got them on 16 September 2018 i.e. my 16th birthday. my hair is dark brown or black, depending on what people like to call it and well, the blonde streaks fit in perfectly though they might end up causing me trouble in school someday. Thankfully they hide in my ponytail and none of my teachers has seen it till now!

4. I’m big on multitasking. I mean, I know it’s not good and all that but I just can’t focus on things like watching TV shows which are not detective/mystery without fidgeting for more than 30-40 minutes. I just can’t sit still and do one thing for a long time.

5. I love typography. I have a pretty decent handwriting and I lover write so whenever I am free I start doodling and writing different words on the sides of the page or at the back of my notebook. I mean, I could do this all the time! Once I made an entire page of quotes and stuck it on my wall.

6. I love fruits. All kinds of fruits. I mean, if there was one thing I could eat for the rest of my life, it’d be fruits after chocolates. Like, it’s crazy how much I love them. I eat fruits as a snack every single day after school. OH, and there are just two fruits I dislike and would not agree to eat even if you gave me like 10 bucks or even 100 – bananas and papaya.

7. My school bag has ‘Stay Wierd’ written on it. It’s weird I know( see what I did there) but I really like it. It stands out and well, I like it.

    1. Thank you!
And yeah, I have these nail paint phases and once the nail polish is over I go through these denial/depression phase and try to find it again. It’s sad, really, but well…
MAybe you can buy another bottle of that nail polish

  2. Thanks for nominating me! I’m a perfectionist too. One of the hardest things about being an adult has been letting that go and sometimes being okay with not perfect. And by okay with I obviously mean not okay with but leaving it there anyway because there literally isn’t any time to make it any better and therefore stressing about it. Okay, maybe I haven’t quite learned to let it go yet…

    1. I can’t wait to learn more about you!
And I know the struggle. Letting go is like, it feels like losing a part of myself so I keep on trying and editing until the very last second.
Lately, my friend(Who’s very chill about everything) is teaching me how to let things just be as they are but I think I have a loooooong way to go

  3. ohh i’d love to see thoses blond streaks !! is there a specific reason why you only got two ?

Im obsessed with placing that one kind of blue on my nails, specially my toes xD No idea why.. it’s just so pretty !! (Also working at a coffeeshop.. I cant quite have nailpolish, though some will have some on and it drives me NUTS)

  4. I’m the complete opposite and cannot do MORE than one thing at a time. Unless it was eating and watching a movie of course or knitting or something. I totally get the perfectionist struggle. I’m so picky when it comes to graphics and colour schemes but my room is a mess sometimes to idk. 😂 Ooh that nail polish sounds stunning. Yes, nail polish have sounds. Jk I mean it’s stunning. Yeah I’ll stop talking. Your bag SOUNDS so great too and ugh how could you not like bananas? They’re AMAZING in a milkshake. ❤️❤️ But yes girl fruits are super healthy.

    1. Hahaha, I know. I had posters on my wall but had to take them done to repaint and now, well, it just seems that they are never going up again as the new colour scheme does not match…
also, bananas are just like, ugh, hard to eat but banana milkshakes (with other flavours – such as a banana-strawberry milkshake) are yum! ❤

  5. Oh I am a perfectionist too, it is so frustrating and everything is never perfect, that’s for sure, sometimes it makes me SO mad, but… I guess we can’t help it 😂 I really like fruits as well, EXCEPT bananas, I just can’t eat them 😂
This was such a fun way to get to know you a bit more, congratulations on the award!! 🙂

  6. I’d eat fruit every day over chocolate (I’m kinda going off chocolate xD) and hi, also a perfectionist here hehe. I actually did a post on perfectionism which you may like, so I’ll drop the link at the end in case you want to check that out. But honestly, I feel ya on perfectionism, its why I have a love hate relationship with my blog graphics.

I like typography as well it’s fun even if my hand begins to cramp after a while, it’s something I’d love to get better in to be honest. As for blonde streaks, I have a natural blonde streak/s in my hair which are visible. They’re more visible in the summer because the sun bleaches them whilst in the autumn and winter they go duller and blend in more with my hair hehe.

p.s my formatting and graphics on this post are the old ones and I’m not happy about it cause inner perfectionist is like…THEY DON’T MATCH YOUR BLOG so yeah

    1. Um, maybe? But like, I love chocolate too, so not giving up on anything just yet, I’m only 16, I have a full life in front of me!
Oh, and same! It’s so annoying switching them up because you realise one day that the old ones just won’t do anymore!

OH, wow, that’s so great, if only I had natural streaks, oof. I think I need to touch up on my blonde streak already as my hair has been growing abnormally fast right now? It’s been less than 6 months and I have already grown like 4-5 inches of hair.

haha, don’t worry, I’m not judging! Although changing graphics is such a task to do… All the best
Gonna go check out your post right now 🙂

  7. awwww you’re very welcome! and I loved getting to know you a little better with this post 💕

perfectionism is definitely such a struggle; in the few months since I’ve been blogging, I’ve gone back and replaced all my post headers several times, and I go through about six barely-different versions for each post. and I can also really relate to needing to switch tasks regularly; reading seems to be the only thing I can still do for hours at a time 😅 and weirdly, I only like bananas as a smoothie base, though I’m not generally a fan of fruit haha. (I like avocados, kiwis, white peaches, water apples, dragonfruit, and plums … and the others are mostly tolerable 😜) but they’re definitely great for you!

    1. Ah, I know… first of all, trying to keep everything in your personal life perfect and then at school followed by your blog! I usually can’t decide what to put first and end up trying to do it all at once.
I love to read for hours at a time – it relaxes me and I can just forget about everything as long as I’m engrossed in a book.

      1. haha I’m terrible about reading instead of doing things that actually require me to put in active effort 😅 it’s also too easy to say “I’m just going to read a few chapters while I grab something to eat” … and then keep reading oops
