I think this one is long overdue…

Cinder, the cyborg mechanic, returns in the second thrilling installment of the bestselling Lunar Chronicles. She’s trying to break out of prison—even though if she succeeds, she’ll be the Commonwealth’s most wanted fugitive.

Halfway around the world, Scarlet Benoit’s grandmother is missing. When Scarlet encounters Wolf, a street fighter who may have information as to her grandmother’s whereabouts, she is loath to trust this stranger, but is inexplicably drawn to him, and he to her. As Scarlet and Wolf unravel one mystery, they encounter another when they meet Cinder. Now, all of them must stay one step ahead of the vicious Lunar Queen Levana, who will do anything for the handsome Prince Kai to become her husband, her king, her prisoner.

Ah, how can I ever tell you how much I love this book? Rereading it only helped refresh my memory as to why I love these characters so much.

Well, in this book we are introduced to Scarlet Benoit, the granddaughter of Michelle Benoit who is rumoured to have gotten Princess Selene back to Earth! *gasp* Scarlet has no one except her grandma. Well, her father is useless and she can not imagine why or how her grandma was kidnapped. Then, she meets a street fighter, Wolf who has a tattoo saying ‘LSOP‘, the very same one as her grandma’s kidnappers or so her father says.

Wold lies to her, tells her it means ‘Loyal Soldier of the Pack’, get her to trust him and in doing all this, he falls for her which is something he never intended to do. Fast forward he ends up betraying her despite his will but then redeems himself by saving her.

Oh god, is Wolf a loveable character. Though he may seem harsh, he has a cuddly, cute inside reserved for Scarlet. It is cute how much he cares for her and I ended up falling for him. He is a complex character and very well written.

Scarlet is confused and doesn’t know what is happening. I seem to agree with most of her thoughts and emotions and she was expressed extremely fabulously. She drew me to her and as much as I wanted to hurry up and get to the Cinder part, I ended up getting drawn to her and soon stopped that.

Cinder and Thorne were on a journey filled with a lot of dangers and reading their banters would always make me smile. The two never disappointed me.

Lastly, I hate the fact that Kai agreed to marry Levana, ugh, why’d he do that? I mean, I understand his reasons, but still! He should know better than to fall into her trap.

Anyways, what did you all think of my post? Have you all read this book> What did you people think about it? Tell me in the comments below. Will be waiting to hear from you all, it means a lot to me.

Favourite Quotes: Kiera Cass

Hey everyone! It’s time for more quotes. Well, while I did not love Keira Cass’ writing, she did have some good quotes and her books covers are damn pretty. Keeping all that in mind, I BEGIN!

“Please don’t cry, darling. I’d spare you tears for the rest of your life if I could”

“Sometimes his words were like single lines of poetry.”

“Nothing makes you quite so aware of a person’s presence as the loss of it.”

“You are sunlight falling through trees. You are laughter that breaks through sadness. Your clarity in the midst of confusion.
You are not the world, but you are everything that makes the world good.”

“There are some things you don’t learn about yourself until you let someone else into the most intimate places of your heart.”

“Surely he loved me. Right? Why wouldn’t he just say it? We’re alone, Maxon. If you say it, I’ll say it back.”

“I couldn’t believe it had taken me all these years to see this side of him. He tucked himself inside a shell, shutting himself away from others here because the palace had trapped him. Behind the books and the snippy remarks there was a curious, engaging, and sometimes very charming person.”

“For now, I would enjoy this tiny bubble of peace and rest securely in the arms of the man I loved.”

“Break my heart. Break it a thousand times if you like. It was only ever yours to break anyway.”

“I’ll love you until my very last breath. Every beat of my heart is yours. I don’t want to die without you knowing that.”

“I want everything with you, America. I want the holidays and the birthdays, the busy season and lazy weekends. I want peanut butter fingertips on my desk. I want inside jokes and fights and everything. I want a life with you.”

“Sometimes I feel like we’re a knot, too tangled to be taken apart.”

“Your eyes look like chocolate,” I mumbled.
He smiled. “And yours look like the morning sky.”

“Mistakes mean it’s real.”

“You can be brave and still be feminine. You can lead and still love flowers. Most importantly, you can be queen and still be a bride.”

“If this were a simpler matter, I’d have eliminated everyone else by now.”

“Maybe it’s not the first kisses that are supposed to be special. Maybe it’s the last ones.”

“America, you are full of nothing but bad ideas. Great intentions but awful ideas.”

“When you love someone, you sacrifice.”

“I love you beyond paint, beyond melodies, beyond words. And I hope you will always feel that, even when I’m not around to tell you so.”

“Books were a safe place, a world apart from my own. No matter what had happened that day, that year, there was always a story in which someone overcame their darkest hour. I wasn’t alone.”

“Though I still occasionally questioned my desire to be the princess, there was no doubt in my mind that I wanted to be Maxon’s.”

“Live your life. Be happy as you can be, let go of the things that don’t matter, and fight.”

“My shoes I got to pick. I chose worn-out red flats. I figured I should make it clear from the start that I wasn’t princess material.”

“I kind of wanted someone to rearrange the stars so they spelled out his words. I needed them big and bright, and somewhere I could see then when things felt dark. I love you. And I’m so, so proud.”

“One can never help being born into perfection.”

“Beauty is subjective. You know how sometimes what makes a person attractive is the way they make you laugh or how it seems like they can read your mind?”

“Opinions change. Don’t let that one moment bring you down too much.”

“You’re worth it. I don’t think you get that. You’re worth it to me.”

Anyways, what did you all think of my post? Have you read any of Kiera’s books? Do you plan to in the future? Tell me in the comments below. Will be waiting to hear from you all, it means a lot to me.

What to do when waiting for a book to release

Hey everyone! I am hyped up today looking at Instagram posts and all that jazz. I just can’t seem to wait for some book releases, such as Kingdom of AshesCatwoman, What if it’s us?, Archnemesis, Queen of Air and Darkness and well, need I go on?

So, what to do while waiting intently for these new releases to come out? Let’s discuss!

  • Reread the series! Well, Michaela @Journeyintobooks also mentioned this and I am reinstating it by saying that there is nothing better than rereading the series while waiting for a new release to come out. The anticipation only grows a the days pass but rereading the series will help calm you down. Firstly, it will help refresh your memories and then, you are continuing this series because you loved it, aren’t you? So is it really that bad to reread it?
  • Read the books on your TBR. Well, I have seen it with almost everyone, but our TBR seems to keep growing yet we just want more and more and more books! I can’t really blame you since I face the same urge but it would be a good idea to read the books you already have while staring at the newly released title/ book cover/ excerpt from a book which will be released months later. Buckle up and catch up on your Goodreads goal for the year!
  • Watch Netflix. Well, I do know that this is not a very good advice to give to someone but, none of us is immune to the charms of Netflix. A good movie, a cosy bed and some popcorn and can you forget about almost anything and everything.

  • Do some work! BE PRODUCTIVE. This is probably the best advice I have ever given but well, the school year has started and it is time to get back and get adjusted to your routine. Leave everything and start studying since the year will not be easy, at all.
  • Sleep. My bed is my one true love and I hate to get up early morning to leave for school. So, why not just sleep for a few hours while waiting for the next release? I mean, once the book comes out, we will all be very excited and will surely pull some all-nighters since we just can’t put the book down.

Well, I can just hope that my advice was of some use to you.

What do you all think? What do you do when waiting for a book to release? Tell me in the comments below.

Top 5 Bookish Maps

Hey everyone!  It is time for another Top 5 Tuesday!  Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme that the lovely Shanah @Bionic Bookworm does. If you are interested in doing any of her topics on your blog she welcomes it! Today’s topic is the Top 5 Bookish Maps. Well, we mostly get maps in fantasy and while I do not remember reading many books that have maps in them, I am pretty sure I will be able to figure something out! (Hopefully)

Plus, I love staring at book maps, so let us go!

Well, the book map for this book is really interesting and it is extremely important with all the locations and I refer to it a lot, so, yeah!  Plus, we get to see the exact locations of the Courts and then I can use the map to sort of put people into a sort of stereotype (which is bad and wrong) but also useful since the books are long and have a lot of characters. It is easier to sort it all out that way.

Ah, again a book by Sarah J. Maas and this map is pretty great too. I think this map is quite useful too with Aelin going all around the world from Endovier to Adarlan and Terrasen to Wendlyn. The map really helps locate everyone and everything.

Ah, this magic map! It has got to be my favourite and it is just so pretty! I mean, the way it shows everyone’s location is just awesome! I love it and wonder exactly how 4 students could think of such a thing and make it. It is baffling and so damn interesting.

Well, I have yet to read this book *sighs* BUT, doesn’t that map look enticing to you? It seems to be reaching out to me and telling me to come and read the book and understand the map and love it like I love the others…

I had started off with this book with this wonderful map before I kept it down as I decided to read Shadow and Bone first. I can’t wait to return to the exciting duology!

Have you read the books that these maps belong to? Did you like my choices? What would have been your choices? Tell me in the comments below.

I SPY Book Challenge

Hey everyone! Today, I am doing a book tag. It seems like I haven’t really done one in a while. I would like to thank the great shadowriverdaleharley for tagging me to do this tag! Thank you so much, this tag looks extremely interesting. Also, people go check out her blog. It is great and deserves all the views it gets and more! 🙂

So, I won’t bore you guys anymore. Here we go.

Find a book that contains (either on the cover or in the title) an example for each category. You must have a separate book for all 20, get as creative as you want and do it within five minutes!

Well, coffee is a drink, but I hope that it counts… Plus, I love it!

The Hogwarts Express!

It does have a sword up there…

‘Home Sapiens’. We are animals too, we must not forget that despite being higher in intelligence, wits than others.

‘Four’ i.e. Tobias Eaton <4

We read diaries, and most of us have definitely read this one, be it for school or our own pleasure.

You can see the sea/ocean back there on the cover. Plus, what better to represent water than Percy Jackson, the son of the sea lord, Poseidon.

‘Ruins’, that is what fire leaves in its wake.

The dress. The storyline. Need I say more?

Pyramids, made by the Egyptians

The red cape, like the Red Riding Hoods…

This one, indeed, was hard to find

Simple enough? 😉

Beats, kind of like rhythms

‘Vampires’, frankly speaking, I find them creepy

Being an assassin has got to be an occupation!

The cold winter season…

 ‘RED’ like Blood?

Beautiful stars, that shine in the night sky…

images 22-06-00-349.jpeg

‘Love’, it grows and blossoms…

Anyways, what did you all think of my post? Have you read any of these books? Do you plan to in the future? Did you like my choices? Tell me in the comments below. Will be waiting to hear from you all, it means a lot to me.

Always and Forever, Lara Jean

Hello everyone! So, I have been reading a lot this month and well, I am glad to present to you all the review of the third and final part of To all the boys I’ve loved before, Always and Forever, Lara Jean!

I have reviewed the first two parts too and you can find them by clicking on the links below.

To all the boys I’ve loved before

P.S. I still love you

Also, To all the boys I’ve loved before just released a movie on Netflix so I decided to put my views about it out there too and you can check that out here.

Moving on,

How could I ever give this wonderful creation any less?

Lara Jean is having the best senior year. And there’s still so much to look forward to: a class trip to New York City, prom with her boyfriend Peter, Beach Week after graduation, and her dad’s wedding to Ms Rothschild. Then she’ll be off to college with Peter, at a school close enough for her to come home and bake chocolate chip cookies on the weekends.

Life couldn’t be more perfect!

At least, that’s what Lara Jean thinks…until she gets some unexpected news.

Now the girl who dreads change must rethink all her plans—but when your heart and your head are saying two different things, which one should you listen to?

Once again, this book did not fail to amaze me or leave me in its awe. It was a great book to end the beautiful series and I am glad that I am read it 🙂 Jenny Han did not fail to make this book as awesome as the other two and the trials in this book made the entire series much more realistic.

First things first, STORMY!

I know she is extremely old and everything but why did she have to go? Also, I love her for giving that ring to Lara Jean. She was so cool and I just can’t believe that she is no more.

“Never say no when you really want to say yes.” – Stormy

Nextly, I loved how LJ wasn’t accepted into UVA. I mean, I did feel really devastated but everything in life is not skittles and rainbows and her rejection showed us exactly that. It all also turned to fate when she was accepted into UNC after being wait-listed, giving her a chance she did not know she had. Plus, the impromptu trip with Chris? I loved it. It showed how LJ could forget her responsibilities for a moment, let loose and just enjoy.

Josh. I loved how we got to meet him too! It was nice how he was not ignored or just left out cause no matter what, he does make up an essential part of the story. After all, he was one of the boys that Lara Jean wrote a letter to.

The fight with Peter made the book even more relatable and I hated how his mother tried to put thoughts into Lara Jean’s head and words into her mouth.

The Beach Week was awesome.  I mean, there were fights but then, they were inevitable. I also loved the New York trip and how Peter ran away just to get Lara Jean a chocolate cookie! He is just so cute. Can I have my own version of Peter?

Next, the ending was perfect, but can I have another book with more of LJ and Peter and their too cute relationship? Please? Pretty please with a cherry on top?

The book pairs well with:

  • 1 baked item
  • With extra sugar
  • and a box of tissues
  • Some pepper on top

Anyways, what did you all think of my post? Have you all read this book> What did you people think about it? Tell me in the comments below. Will be waiting to hear from you all, it means a lot to me.

Favourite Quotes: Throne of Glass

Hey everyone! I hope you all are having a great day. So I will be presenting to you all my favourite quotes from the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas. I have already done so for ACOTAR and ACOMAF so I can’t help but be excited to do this. Plus, with the release of Kingdom of Ashes drawing closer, I am in the mood to reread this series again. Maybe, reading the quotes will help?

Without any more meaningless blabber, let me continue!

“Libraries were full of ideas—perhaps the most dangerous and powerful of all weapons.”

“You could rattle the stars,” she whispered. “You could do anything, if only you dared. And deep down, you know it, too. That’s what scares you most.”

“She was the heir of ash and fire, and she would bow to no one.”

“My name is Celaena Sardothien. But it makes no difference if my name’s Celaena or Lillian or Bitch, because I’d still beat you, no matter what you call me.”

“Names are not important. It’s what lies inside of you that matters.”

“She was fire, and light, and ash, and embers. She was Aelin Fireheart, and she bowed for no one and nothing, save the crown that was hers by blood and survival and triumph.”

“It would not take a monster to destroy a monster – but light, light to drive out darkness.”

“I claim you, Aelin. To whatever end.”

“Sometimes, the wicked will tell us things just to confuse us–to haunt our thoughts long after we’ve faced them.”

“Sometimes there won’t be a right choice, just the best of several bad options.”

“It was like coming home or being born or suddenly finding an entire half of herself that had been missing.”

“I wish you to become who you were born to be. To become queen.”

“Aelin Galathynius had raised an army not just to challenge Morath, but to rattle the stars.”

“I’d walk into the burning heart of hell itself to find you.”

“Nameless is my price.”

“A lovely girl gazing at the stars, and the stars who gazed back.”

“This girl wasn’t like wildfire—she was wildfire. Deadly and uncontrollable. And slightly out of her wits.”

“Even when we’re apart tomorrow, I’ll be with you every step of the way. And every step after—wherever that may be.”

“She was fury, she was wrath, she was vengeance.”

“Words could be just as deadly as steel.”

“What’s the point in having a mind if you don’t use it to make judgements?”

“There was no force in any world that could keep her contained.”

“The girl who’d taken on a Pirate Lord and his entire island, the girl who’d stolen Asterion horses and raced along the beach in the Red Desert, the girl who’d sat on her own rooftop, watching the sun rise over Avery, the girl who’d felt alive with possibility…that girl was gone.”

“I don’t make threats. Only promises.”

“She was a force of nature. She was a calamity and a commander of immortal warriors of legend.”

“What’s the point in having a heart if you don’t use it to spare others from the harsh judgments of your mind?”

“The girl wore her scars the way some women wore their finest jewellery.”

“Perhaps the world would never be perfect, perhaps some things would never be right, but maybe she stood a chance of finding her own sort of peace and freedom.”

“Power called to power among the Fae. Perhaps Aelin Galathynius was unlucky the cadre had been drawn to Maeve’s power long before she was born, had chained themselves to her instead. Perhaps they were the unlucky ones, for not holding out for something better.”

“The world began and ended in fire.”

“Courage of the heart is very rare,” she said with sudden calm. “Let it guide you.”

“you must enter where you fear to tread”

“Even when this world is a forgotten whisper of dust between the stars, I will love you.”

“There was a time when people valued honour and loyalty — when serving a ruler wasn’t about obedience and fear.”

“Elegant, feminine, and utterly wild. Warm, and steadfast—unbreakable, his queen.”

Anyways, what did you all think of my post?  Tell me in the comments below. Will be waiting to hear from you all, it means a lot to me.
